Multi-Component Resilience Assessment Framework for a Supply Chain System

چکیده
The goal of this paper is to develop a quantitative resilience assessment framework for supply chain system exposed multiple risk factors. Most existing studies on have primarily focused assessing the system’s ability withstand and recover from disruptions caused by single type hazard. However, exogenous endogenous events conditions over planning horizon, comprehensive should take into account Moreover, contrary conventional methods focusing short duration during which impacted disaster event, proposed measures capacities long-term horizon through multi-risk multi-component assessment. Specifically, new index measure (a) hazard-induced cumulative loss functionality, (b) opportunity-induced gain (c) non-hazard-induced functionality. case study results indicate that all three types factors contribute overall significantly ignoring any one them may result in inaccurate performance

Performance indicators for supply chain resilience: review and conceptual framework
In the current competitive and dynamic market, customer demands and interests are changing continuously, and hence, risk of disruption in the supply chain is also increasing. To be successful in this scenario, supply chain of a firm should be resilient. Most of the firms realize that with a specific end goal to develop a resilient supply chain, there is a need for assessment of performance. The...

Due to the global expansion of Company A's supply chain network, it is becoming more vulnerable to many disruptions. These disruptions often incur additional costs; and require time to respond to and recover from these disruptions. The base paper supply chain was identified as the most vulnerable area of the Company A Jurong and South & Southeast Asia Cluster supply chain; and a multi-stage sup...
متن کاملUsing Electromagnetism Algorithm for Determining the Number of kanbans in a Multi-stage Supply Chain System
This paper studies the multi-stage supply chain system (MSSCM) controlled by the kanban mechanism. In the kanban system, decision making is based on the number of kanbans as well as batch sizes. A kanban mechanism is employed to assist in linking different production processes in a supply chain system in order to implement the scope of just-in-time (JIT) philosophy. For a MSSCM, a mixed-integer...
متن کاملA Decision Support Framework to Assess Supply Chain Resilience
Our research is aimed at developing a quantitative approach for assessing supply chain resilience to disasters, a topic that has been discussed primarily in a qualitative manner in the literature. For this purpose, we propose a simulation-based framework that incorporates concepts of resilience into the process of supply chain design. In this context, resilience is defined as the ability of a s...
